Using Repustate with Oracle

In order for Repustate Deep Search to connect to your Oracle database, you'll need the following:

  1. Docker
  2. The version of your Oracle database
  3. The connection parameters for your Oracle database (username, password, port etc.)

Assuming you have all this information, let's get started!

  1. Create a file for all f the required variables we'll need for Repustate Docker container. Let's call it `repustate_oracle.env`
  2. In that file, you'll need to put the following variables and their values: ORACLE_VERSION= # This must be one of 12c, 18c, 19c
    ORACLE_USER=
    ORACLE_PASSWORD=
    ORACLE_DATABASE=
    ORACLE_HOST=
    ORACLE_PORT=
    ORACLE_SID=
  3. With that now done, you can start up Repustate using the Docker container from Repustate's registry (Note: Repustate runs on port 9000 within the container, but you can map any external port to the container's port 9000) docker run -p 9000:9000 --env-file repustate_oracle.env --name repustate registry.repustate.com/repustate-oracle:latest

And that's it - Repustate will now connect to your Oracle database and you'll be able to make API calls to the Repustate Server at port 9000 (or whichever external port you mapped the container to).
